Noreen (Ping) Li, Registered Massage Therapist

Ping graduated from the Professional Institute of Massage Therapy in 2017.   She is an active member of the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada.  Ping became a registered massage therapist to help people to be healthier.  She is trained in Swedish massage, relaxation massage, therapeutic massage, and prenatal. Ping is also certified in hot stone and cupping, as well as Thai massage.

When Ping is not working, she enjoys reading and playing with her children.

Sara Thompson, Registered Massage Therapist

Sara graduated from MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy with her 2200 hour diploma in May 2019 and is an active member of the Massage Therapists Association of Alberta. Sara decided she wanted to make a career change when she was laid off from the banking industry. She wanted to change from a desk job to something more active that really helped people. When she was younger, she wanted to work in health care and so decided that being a Massage Therapist was where she needed to be, not only to live her best life, but also to help others on their own journey to wellness.

Sara is trained in Relaxation and Therapeutic massage, trigger point release, myofascial release, and prenatal massage. Sara’s style of treatment is a combination of relaxation and therapeutic massage. She plans to take further course work in Aromatherapy and Myofascial Cupping in the near future.

When Sara is not working, she loves spending with her family and friends, being outdoors, attending concerts, doing arts & crafts, and reading and sipping a nice cup of tea!

Anita Mergl, Registered Massage Therapist

Anita successfully completed the 3000-Hour RMT advanced clinical massage therapy program at Makami College and is a member of CRMTA. She is passionate about her work and enjoys working as a team to help treat and heal her clients, allowing them to feel not only good physically but as well mentally, improving their day to day lives.

Anita is highly skilled in therapeutic deep tissue massage, as well as advanced techniques including myofascial cupping, trigger point therapy, stretching and neuromuscular therapy. Being a mother, she is comfortable and trained to provide prenatal massage. She also offers a soothing hot stone massage, for anyone who needs to relax and take away that stress. Anita believes investing your time in your health through massage therapy increases a lifetime of happiness and longevity.

Anita enjoys the outdoors, sports and spending time with family.

Lauren "LJ" Jozwiak, Registered Massage Therapist

Lauren “LJ” graduated from MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy in May 2019, and is an active member of the MTAA. LJ became a Registered Massage Therapist because she has always been interested in anatomy, physiology and rehabilitation from illness/injury. Although she comes from a corporate background, human sciences have always been something she was passionate about. LJ suffered a knee injury and rehabilitation led her to realize she wanted to explore massage therapy.

LJ is trained in trigger point release, relaxation massage, MFR, sprain/strain, chair massage, and pre-natal massage. She believes strongly in therapeutic massage as an evidence-based treatment for many ailments. She has a particular interest in being able to help someone get back to their pre-injury status. LJ takes a lot of pride in having clients leave the treatment session feeling better than they did coming in. Whether it is a relaxation massage or a therapeutic treatment, LJ believes homecare and remedial exercises are an important part of client care, and her treatments reflect that. LJ adapts her style to the suit the client while effectively addressing any concerns. LJ’s future goals are to become certified in both Graston technique and ART (Active Release Technique) to add another level to her treatments.

LJ is originally from Winnipeg MB, however Calgary has been her home to since 2008. LJ loves animals, and currently owns 2 Shiba Inus. In her spare time, she regularly enjoys both barre and yoga classes, boxing workout (no sparring!), gym activities, and will be training in the upcoming year for a few runs.

LJ and her husband enjoy going to the movies, taking their dogs for long walks and completing projects around the home.

Jacob Skarra, Registered Massage Therapist

Jacob attained his 2200 hour massage therapy diploma from the Professional Institute of Massage Therapy in Saskatoon in 2017, and is an active member of CMMOTA. Jacob became a Registered Massage Therapist because he wanted a career where he was helping people to live a better quality of life, as well as to help athletes, fresh to seasoned, compete to their highest and healthiest potential. In 2018, he expanded his education by taking his 200 hour yoga teacher training in Costa Rica, and is now pursuing his bachelor's degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine. 

Jacob treats within a delicate balance between therapeutic and deep tissue, working within the client’s threshold, ensuring the massage is both productive and comfortable. He enjoys utilizing cupping, taping, and flossing within his treatments as well when the opportunity presents itself. He always ensures his clients come out learning something new about their body, helping them to learn preventative strategies, incorporating them into their treatment plan, and is always eager to answer any questions.

In his spare time, Jacob enjoys canoe trips, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, yoga, running, cycling, and swimming. He ran his first marathon in September 2021, plans on competing in his first IronMan 70.3 in July of 2022.  He aspires to one day complete a full IronMan, and qualify to race in the Boston Marathon. His relaxing activities include reading, meditation, cooking, and baking. 

Lixin (Paul) Chen, Registered Massage Therapist

Lixin graduated from the Professional Institute of Massage Therapy in December 2020, and is an active member of the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada. He also studied Chinese traditional massage in China. Lixin became a massage therapist because he wanted to help people, and loves how massage therapy has helped him to meet this goal. Lixin is trained in Swedish massage, non-Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, stretching and range of motion, and Chinese massage. His treatment style is therapeutic massage using deep pressure.

In his spare time, Lixin enjoys reading and working to improve his skills.

Quyen (Cassandra) Trinh, Registered Massage Therapist   

Quyen (Cassandra) graduated from Makami College in December 2021 with her 3000 hour Massage Therapy diploma. She is an active member of CRMTA. 

Cassandra became a Registered Massage Therapist because she is passionate and motivated to help aid clients experiencing everyday life stress and pain.  She enjoys helping improve clients’ health and well being.  Cassandra is trained in relaxation massage, myofascial treatments, deep tissue, sports massage, hot stone, cupping, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage and Thai massage.  Cassandra modifies her treatments based on each client’s needs.  She specializes in relaxation massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point release and stretching techniques.

In her spare time, Cassandra loves spending time with her family.  She also enjoys reading, travelling, and spending time outdoors.

Andrew Kosek, Registered Massage Therapist

Andrew graduated with a Diploma in Massage Therapy from the Canadian College of Health, Science, and Technology in April 2021 and is an active member of the Massage Therapists Association of Alberta (MTAA). Andrew has been studying in the health and medical fields for a combined 5 years and became a massage therapist to continue pursuing his passion of helping others and making a difference. Andrew is trained in Swedish massage, therapeutic massage, and sports massage. His treatment style is therapeutic massage focused on moderate to deep pressure, trigger points and focused treatment.

In his spare time, Andrew can be found skiing, snowboarding, or in a climbing gym.

Jamy McDonald, Registered Massage Therapist

Jamy graduated from MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy with his 2200 hour Massage Therapy diploma in June 2021, and is an active member of the Massage Therapist Association of Alberta (MTAA).

Jamy became a Registered Massage Therapist because he has always had a passion for helping others, and has wanted to pursue therapeutic work for many years. After doing six years of lifeguarding he felt that moving into a more therapeutic practice of helping would be a great fit for him. Jamy researched the effects of massage and how beneficial it can be, and felt that moving in this direction, there would be the potential to do a lot of good.

Jamy is trained in Swedish massage, Therapeutic massage, and Myofascial release. Jamy has had a lot of success with recovery assistance massage, and post-surgery massage. He likes to work with his clients' needs specifically. He finds that working with his clients to find the best process and treatments for their ideal recovery is very rewarding.

In his spare time, Jamy pursues his passion for the outdoors. He specifically enjoys anything in the mountains - hiking, snowboarding, anything that will get him to an unforgettable view. He has a love for food, trying to delve into new cuisines, learning to bake fresh breads over the past few years, and always exploring new ways to make food differently.

Ailen Perez, Registered Massage Therapist   

Ailen graduated from the 3000 hour massage therapy program at Makami College in 2016, and is an active member of the CRMTA.  Ailen become a registered massage therapist because she loves helping people through therapeutic massage to treat their pain and improve their health.

Ailen is trained in therapeutic massage, Swedish massage, sports massage, deep tissue massage, hot stone and cupping treatments.  Ailen’s style is to start with relaxing the muscles, followed by deeper, therapeutic massage, then ending with lighter massage to again relax the muscles.  Ailen frequently checks in with her clients to ensure the treatment is meeting their needs.

Ailen loves meditation, yoga, and spending time with family.  She loves being surrounded by positive people and environments. 

Natalie Laliberte, Registered Massage Therapist   

Natalie has completed her 2200 hours Massage Therapy diploma at Canadian College of Health Science and Technology in Windsor Ontario and is an active member of the MTAA.  Natalie was drawn into this field from a young age. After trying many different types of therapies to help with her mild scoliosis she found that massage is the most beneficial for her. Natalie excels in relaxation and therapeutic massages. Natalie also integrates different modalities in her treatments such as Swedish Massage, trigger point work, myofascial release, and stretching to promote relaxation and pain relief. 

Natalie enjoys spending her free time exploring new places with her dog and training her horses.

Aiza Duque, Registered Massage Therapist   

Aiza completed her 3000 hour Massage Therapy program at Makami College in Spring 2023, and is an active member of the CRMTA.  Aiza became a Registered Massage Therapist because she enjoys helping people, and wants to help relieve people’s pain.  Aiza is trained in Swedish massage, therapeutic range of motion, myofascial release, pre-natal and post-natal massage.  She is also trained in hot stone and cupping.  Aiza’s style is mainly relaxation, however she integrates therapeutic techniques such as trigger point therapy and myofascial release to benefit her clients.  Aiza provides moderate pressure in her treatments. 

During her spare time, Aiza enjoys walking her dogs and camping.
