Christine Baxter, Registered Massage Therapist

Christine attended Sir Sandford Fleming College for massage therapy. She is an active member of the RMTAO and CMTO. Christine’s passion for sports is what influenced her to become a massage therapist. She specializes in Swedish, as well as deep tissue massage. She also offers prenatal massages. Christine looks forward to treating you at Massage Addict. 

Rebecca Sedgwick, Registered Massage Therapist

Rebecca is a graduate of the Ontario College of Health and Technology, and an RMT in good standing with the CMTO. She has a passion for treating clients of all ages and is interested in both the relaxation and rehabilitation sides of massage therapy. While she is proficient at using her traditional swedish massage techniques on the body as a whole, Rebecca excels at treating plantar fasciitis as well as chronic and acute neck issues. She also enjoys using her training in prenatal/pregnancy massage

Karen Dunn, Registered Massage Therapist

Karen has been an RMT since 2009, graduated from Ontario college of health and technology in Stoney creek/Winona.
Karen has a lot of experience with neck and low back injuries. She has had extra training in deep tissue massage, myofascial release, acupressure as well hot stone massage.
She also has taken Thai massage, in which she incorporates the techniques from that into a general Swedish massage. Karen absolutely loves being a massage therapist!  

Antonio Iavarone, Registered Massage Therapist
 
Antonio is a graduate of the massage therapy program at Mohawk College. His passion for sports and the human anatomy are key factors in his decision to become a registered massage therapist. As a result of receiving treatments for his own sport-related injuries, he is keen on helping others get back from their own injuries or ailments and returning to the sports and life activities they love doing.
He is a strong believer in the healing benefits of massge therapy and he is focused on ensuring his clients receive the best treatment possible. Antonio is very strong in various techniques including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, fascial stretching along with general Sweedish massage for relaxation. 

Stefani Cucuz, Registered Massage Therapist
 
Stefani is a recent graduate of massage therapy from Mohawk College. She became registered in January 2016 after completing the provincial exams set by the CMTO.   As someone who has been involved with sports since a very young age she has seen how much physical stress is put on the body from sports and daily activities, which is why Stefani decided to get into massage. She always wanted to get into a field where she could help people heal and get back to their lives without being limited by pain.   Stefani enjoys working a variety of people because it challenges her to adapt her technique so that the treatment is beneficial to all.

Elizabeth Lima, Registered Massage Therapist
 
Elizabeth is a graduate from the Ontario College of Health and Technology. She first found her passion through teaching infant massage course. As a Registered Massage therapist she is able to provide her clients with a therapeutic touch, getting into the muscles as needed, but also giving the client a deep sense of relaxation at the same time. Every clients’ bodies are different, therefore, she creates a special massage that is customized just for them. She provides her clients with Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone and Prenatal massage.

Camilla Stefanski, Registered Massage Therapist

Camilla Stefanski graduated from the Massage Therapy program at Everest College, and has been a Registered Massage Therapist since 2012.

She has experience working with a variety of conditions and injuries including: prenatal massages, strains, sprains, tendonitis, swelling, concussions, fractures, and many more. She also does treatments using Dry Cupping Therapy which increases circulation, releases fascial restrictions and trigger points, loosens up scar tissue, releases toxins from the body and helps with swelling.

Camilla is always doing research about conditions, injuries, and changes within the Massage Therapy field, as well as different techniques that may benefit her treatments. She works with her clients’ wellbeing as her priority, and develops effective treatment plans to help them with their recovery.

In her spare time Camilla likes to stay active with rollerblading, hiking, and going for walks; getting lost in a novel, and spending time with her family and friends.

Ryan Doiron, Registered Massage Therapist

Ryan graduated from the Mohawk college massage therapy program in the summer of 2017 bringing in fresh and new techniques to his practice. Ryan has been working in and out of clinics since his high school years. He incorporates his vast knowledge of human anatomy into his massages to accurately focus on whatever issue a client may ask him. Ryan is a strong believer in teamwork and working together to communicate and get the best results and massage for his clients. He specializes in Swedish massage, deep tissue, sports injury and trigger point therapy.

Michael La, Registered Massage Therapist

I am a graduate from the Mohawk College Massage Therapy program, as well as a graduate of McMaster University where I majored in Biology and minored in Psychology. I am certified in RockTape (kinesiology taping), RockBlades (IASTM: instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization), and successfully completed the McMaster Contemporary Medical Acupuncture program. Completion of the program required over 300 hours of work, which utilizes some traditional acupuncture techniques as well as electroacupuncture. 

I like to work with the patient and conduct a thorough assessment in order to identify and address the underlying problem. With all of these tools in my arsenal, I am confident in providing relief and overcoming any obstacle.

Julia Fazzari, Registered Massage Therapist

I am a recent graduate of the Mohawk College Massage Therapy Program as of August, 2017. I began my amazing career as a Registered Massage Therapist in January of 2018. From a young age, I knew I wanted to be somewhere in the health care field. My interest in massage therapy came from my own visits to a massage therapist. I loved how I felt every time I left, which made me want to help others feel the same way. I am now an active member of the CMTO, and love what I do. I look forward to improving your overall quality of life, one massage at a time.

Victoria Baker, Registered Massage Therapist

Starting in 2017 Victoria has had the pleasure in helping many clients recover from various conditions or just experiencing a wonderful time of relaxation and recovery. Victoria techniques range from General Swedish massage techniques like effleurage, petrissage, vibrations and  tapotement. Victoria also use's advanced techniques like O and I's, trigger point therapy, muscle approximation, golgi tendon organ release, joint mobilization,  cross fiber frictions and myofascial release technique.

Jemal Anderson, Registered Massage Therapist

I have been a Registered Massage Therapist for eighteen years, utilizing Acupuncture for thirteen years, and Laser Therapy for ten years.

As a RMT my priority is taking away pain. My work experience has lead me into many areas of the Massage Industry including Spas, Chiropractic offices and Motor Vehicle Accident clinics. I also used to work with a professional sports team, the Hamilton Bulldogs (ice hockey), and found it to be very rewarding.

There is no condition that together we cannot overcome, be it symptomatic or  treatments for chronic pain and/or physical restrictions.

I would also like to offer patients the option of Needle Free Laser Acupuncture for those people who like to experience the benefits of Acupuncture but are not a fan of needles. My background as a Certified Laser Therapist and Acupuncturist allows me to combine the benefits of both modalities.

Christine Solakofski B. Comm., Registered Massage Therapist, 3rd Degree Reiki Master

Christine is a former financial planner, having obtained her Bachelor of Commerce degree from McMaster University.  Several years ago, she decided to leave her secure job at a major financial institution, in order to move back to her hometown of Hamilton, Ontario, where she went back to school full-time to study massage therapy at Mohawk College.  She works part-time at a rehab clinic offering massage therapy to clients involved in motor vehicle accidents, and workplace injuries. She enjoys doing both medical-based massages as well as relaxation massages.  Christine has been a 3rd degree Reiki Master since 2005, and has been providing Reiki treatments since 2002.  She volunteered at Hope Spring Cancer Support Centre in Cambridge, Ontario, where she provided Reiki treatments to cancer survivors.  Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation, that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands", and a treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you.  Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit.  As a natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement, Reiki creates many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, and tranquility.  Christine's goal while treating, is to provide the appropriate techniques to encourage improvement of body mechanics and quality of life, whether it be by promoting relaxation, or alleviating pain and discomfort caused by stress, or injury.  She is very excited to be offering massage treatments at the Stoney Creek Massage Addict location.

Samantha Danville, Registered Massage Therapist    
Samantha Danville was introduced to the world of medicine at a young age and worked as a Emergency Care Technician in northern Alberta. She takes a focused look at patient history and background before making a comprehensive care plan for her clients. She also believes in maintaining homeostasis (which is the on going process of keeping equilibrium inside and outside the body) to help reduce postural and structural dysfunction. Samantha thrives off of challenges and dynamic situations. She loves treating a variety of medical conditions along with muscle and tissue, bringing a wide range of modalities to her treatment to help with breathing, circulatory disruption, neurological deficits, stress, and more. 

Currently Samantha maximizes the use of swedish massage techniques to home in muscles and other structures, releasing tension, fascia, and trigger points. Samantha also offers Indian Head Massage. Indian Head Massage involves a head, neck and shoulders treatment that can be performed seated or laying. It contains the use of warmed oils to the scalp, hair and face as well as a variety of essential oils to help address inflammation, tension, respiratory issues and induce a sense of relaxation. Pressure points are addressed in the scalp and face, and gentle lymphatic drainage is used to help flush away impurities. The finale Includes an application of warmed towels to the head(hair) and face. The perfect treatment to help melt away tension and unwind!

Brett Bolyos, Registered Massage Therapist    

Recent graduate of Mohawk College. Successfully passed both registration exams and in good standing with CMTO. Brett is determined in continuing his education by learning a variety of therapeutic remedies such as taping and acupuncture. His main focus is the client. His goal is to provide a comfortable and relaxed environment for whiling focusing on working one-on-one with the client to ensure the best possible treatment plan. He is extremely confident in his therapeutic abilities and really enjoys working on lower back, arm, and hand trigger point areas.

Michael Sardo, Registered Massage Therapist    

Michael is graduate of the Massage Therapy program at Mohawk College. He believes that every treatment is a unique experience because everybody has different needs. From treating the Hamilton Tiger-Cats during pre-season, to the elderly at the ARTC; whether my client prefers deep-tissue massage or lighter pressure, He is always prepared to provide the best client focused treatment. 

Lets work together to relax, de-stress, and focus on results. Some of his favourite pastimes include playing the guitar, drums, singing, and snowboarding.

Nicoleta Tigau, Registered Massage Therapist    

Nicoleta has been a successful massage therapist for over 10 years.  She graduated from Everest College, Hamilton campus in 2008.  She volunteered as an examiner at Everest and Trillum College at MOC examination for several years and has guided students for clinical hours at Regatta 2 years in a row.  In 2011 she received her certification in Neurofunctional Acupuncture at McMaster University.  She is a Yoga instructor and a Meditation Facilitator as well.

She has vast experience treating children to elderly.  She has also treated athletes for all related sports injuries.  She has mastered both deep tissue and relaxing massage.

Her experience and dedication make her treatments extremely successful.

Victoria Nielsen, Hons. B. Kin., Registered Massage Therapist

Victoria holds an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology and Health Promotion, as well as an advanced diploma in Massage Therapy. She provides treatment based massages that work towards addressing the root causes of pain, stress, and dysfunction. Victoria believes in the connection of fascial chains and uses this concept to improve posture, flexibility, mobility, and pain. She is certified in Soft Tissue Release (STR), cupping, and Gua Sha (scraping).

Shanta Wehrli, Registered Massage Therapist

After obtaining her Honours BA degree at the University of Toronto, Shanta spent many years working as a personal trainer and fitness instructor. Shanta went back to school and graduated from the Advanced Massage Therapy program through Mohawk college in order to assist clients from a rehabilitation point of view. Shanta believes that the body ultimately wants to heal itself and she can assist with that journey.

Some of her techniques include: myofascial release, cranial sacral, cupping, PNF stretching, trigger point release, and general Swedish massage. On the more relaxing side of treatments Shanta can also do; hot stone massage, facial massage, and Indie head massage.

Sarah Syperek, Registered Massage Therapist
