Our Certified Reflexologists

Diomira Bermudez, Certified Reflexologist

Diomira “Dee” Bermudez is a dedicated and confident Registered Reflexology Practitioner (RRPr) and a current member with the Reflexology Registered Council of Ontario (RRCO). She is passionate about providing professional services with the purpose of enhancing people’s health and well-being through the touch of her hands. She is a strong believer that energy works miracles because energy works in the physical, emotional and the spiritual level.

Reflexology, as she has learned, is a natural healing art, not a science, which is based on the principle that there are reflexes on the feet (as well as on the head and hands) that directly correspond with glands, organs and specific parts of the body. The method consists in using the thumbs and fingers to stimulate those reflexes to trigger physiological changes in the body to heal itself.

Reflexology is considered a complementary medicine due to these valuable reasons:

  • It is non-invasive, has no side-effects and the results are wonderful
  • It relaxes the mind, body and releases tension
  • It aids in detoxifying the body
  • It improves circulation and lymphatic functions
  • It stimulates the digestive system
  • It helps balance homeostasis

Beside Reflexology, Diomira is enrolled in the Massage Therapy program at Lambton College, and by the year 2021 when she is registered with the CMTO, she will be able to provide customers with massage therapy treatments as well.

Cynthia Johnston, Certified Reflexologist

I attended St. Patrick's High school in Sarnia and loved the parks, beaches ad waterfront.

I became certified with Reflexology Association of Canada in 1999 while working at a factory in Wallaceburg, Ontario.  In 2021 I completed a course on hands and feet reflexology with Footsteps School of Reflexology in Toronto where I received a Certified Reflexology Diploma.

Then I wrote another exam for the Reflexology Association of Canada in September 2021 and became a Registered Canadian Reflexology Therapist (RCRT).  I am continuing to take educational courses to keep learning about the many benefits of reflexology.  Reflexology techniques provide a variety of sensory experiences which interrupt the patterns of stress created by daily physical activities such as walking, running, recreation and sports as well as conditions caused from emotional and mental daily stressors at home and work.

With these techniques applied over time, the stress mechanism is conditioned to behave in a manner that creates less wear and tear on the body.

Connie Brown, Certified Reflexologist

My interest in reflexology started in 1995 when I had “too many irons in the fire”. I was married, employed full time as a pediatric phlebotomist, raising identical twin girls and owned and operated a side business at a country market and strawberry farm. My plate was full and I felt tired and run-down. Thankfully, a close friend encouraged me to try reflexology, little did she know what the impact would be.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good I felt after my first session. I  was calm and grounded with a sense of improved well being. I continued with sessions and soon began to view reflexology as a tool – a self help tool that could be used to address and ease the stressors of life in a non-intrusive way. And with that I began my journey to becoming a certified reflexologist.

I sought out knowledge of reflexology and its practice at the Holt School of Natural Healing and in April of 1995, I received my foot certification. In Sept of 2016, I furthered my studies and received my hand certification from  Reflexology Training Essentials and shortly after began practicing at Massage Addict in Milton, ON before branching out and establishing self employment.

Currently I am employed with Massage Addict in Sarnia, ON.  I’m a member in good standing with the Reflexology Registration Council of Ontario [RRCO], which shows my dedication to professionalism, accountability and the expectations of reflexology’s principles, guidelines and standards.

My clients are grateful for their sessions and feel confident in knowing I practice in a knowledgeable, safe and non-intrusive manner.
