Aaron Hunter, Registered Massage Therapist
Aaron has over 15 years of experience as a Registered Massage Therapist, practicing in the London and St. Thomas area. Being born and raised in St Thomas, a town that thrives on manufacturing, Aaron has a great understanding of repetitive strain injuries on top of many other soft tissue dysfunctions. He spent many years as an instructor at The D'Arcy Lane Institute for Massage Therapy; this improved his acumen for communicating the finer points of massage therapy while learning the perspectives of those who are new to the field of massage and health care in general.
He is currently working on a Nutrition and Fitness certificate through ICS and is also pursuing his dream of becoming a Level 1 DDP Yoga instructor. Be it deep pressure, gradual pressure, interesting conversation or quiet relaxation, Aaron has the experience and versatility to suit anyone's needs.
Aaron believes very strongly in the power of positivity; maintaining a healthy lifestyle is something we all struggle with and that encouraging each other's successes is the best approach to maintaining one's health. A treatment with Aaron means judgment free, client specific attention!
He also believes in being proactive rather than reactive in maintaining one's personal health. To stay active and healthy Aaron enjoys playing softball, shinny hockey, weight training and practicing ddp yoga. He also occasionally joins his wife at her Brazilian Jiu Jitsu club and is working towards his Blue Belt. On top of all of this, the activity he enjoys the most is spending time with his wife and 2 kids.
Jennifer Burkholder, Registered Massage Therapist
Jennifer graduated from Medix School in 2009 with Honours and was Valedictorian of her class. She has been practicing for four years in a physiotherapy clinic, working with acute and chronic injuries. She enjoys focusing on muscle imbalances, working to alleviate pain and stress on joints. She uses both observation and client feedback to tailor treatment plans to each individual client. Jennifer has also taken additional courses in craniosacral techniques, and labour and delivery and is excited to continue to develop those skills.
Katie Feere, Registered Massage Therapist
Katie graduated Lambton College in 2013. She provides General Swedish techniques, deep tissue massage as well as sports massage techniques with a focus on rehabilitation. During her years of education, she had the opportunity to work with a variety of individuals including palliative care patients. Using observation and client feedback, Katie tries to tailor the treatment specific to the clients’ needs. Katie has tremendous interest in the wellness and fitness side of health care and hopes to educate clients on the benefits of massage treatment and a happy, healthy lifestyle. She is very excited to be joining the team !
Jeff Hansen, Registered Massage Therapist
Jeff has been working full time as a Massage Therapist since 1998. After graduating from D’Arcy Lane, he moved to Sarnia where he gained experience working on a plethora of conditions. His focus was on work-related postural conditions that come with long hours in front of a computer, as well as motor vehicle accidents and sports injuries. He also shared an office with a family physician where he treated a wide variety of clients.
In 2006, he moved to Vancouver where he completed a massage therapy upgrade program. His work in a Physiotherapy clinic dealt primarily with whiplash and soft tissue damage. His subsequent experience in the fitness department of Hollyburn Country Club shifted focus from upper body to lower body issues, dealing with runners, triathletes, and professional tennis players. At Harrison Hot Springs resort, he learned the art of relaxation treatments and also encountered diverse and unique conditions from clients from around the globe.
He was also a part-time instructor in the Massage Therapy program at Sprott Shaw College located in Abbotsford. This improved his acumen for communicating the finer points of massage therapy while learning the perspectives of those who are new to the field of massage and health care in general.
While in BC Jeff also earned his Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from Thompson River University. Since returning to London, he continues to take courses at Western University in the areas of Kinesiology, Anatomy, Physiology, Psychology, and general health and well-being.
He implements a combination of Swedish massage, deep tissue, myofascial release, muscle energy technique, and joint mobilization with stretching and strengthening to help relieve a large variety of acute and chronic conditions.
In his spare time Jeff enjoys keeping active. He enjoys cardio and strength training, tennis, and can be found cycling through Springbank Park.
Jeff believes our profession has endless learning opportunities that allow us to treat clients in a more holistic manner. Whether you come in for extensive treatments or simple indulgence, every client can present with unique issues and it is important to keep an open mind and draw from all our skills and knowledge to best serve their individual needs.
Meghan Keller, Registered Massage Therapist
Meghan is a graduate of Westervelt College and is very passionate about massage. She provides both relaxation and therapeutic massage, and believes that relaxation is the first step to healthy living. She incorporates therapeutic techniques into her massages to achieve optimal results. Meghan is very excited to continue to learn and use her knowledge to help others.
Jordan Rabideau, Registered Massage Therapist
Jordan is a graduate of the D'Arcy Lane Institute of Massage Therapy. He has a holistic approach to massage therapy, incorporating Eastern knowledge of Chinese meridians and assessment with Western concepts of the muscles, fascia, and deep tissue massage. By blending Eastern and Western approaches he can address the body as a whole. His treatments are both preventative and therapeutic with an emphasis on identifying underlying issues. He has also completed courses in Shiatsu and Anma Do therapy (Eastern style of massage and assessment). This ongoing education has improved his knowledge and acumen in an ancient and trusted form of healing.
Jordan also completed a 2 year Physiotherapist Assistant program and previously worked in Physiotherapist clinics and a fitness facility. This has given him an in-depth knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology that has functional applications. He now has a strong acumen for treating acute and chronic injuries of all types and has helped many athletes with rehabilitation from sports injuries.
Diana Castaneda, Registered Massage Therapist
Diana is a is a graduate of Medix College, London Campus. Diana believes that the power of touch can be truly healing for people physically and spiritually. She does her best to incorporate her skills in Swedish Massage, Trigger Point Release, Fascial work, Frictions, Manual lymphatic drainage, and Remedial exercise. Diana also believes in the importance of homecare to educate clients about the benefit of massage in helping to maintain and improve general health and well being.
Diana is also fluent in Spanish which gives her the opportunity to reach the Spanish speaking population of London in its own language!
Tamara Haldane, Registered Massage Therapist
Tamara is a recent honours graduate of Westervelt College. She is adept in Swedish and non-Swedish techniques as well as varying the degrees of pressure. Working with you she will establish an effective treatment plan that is tailored to your specific needs, with the goal of relieving your physical pain and emotional stress.
Coty Stephenson, Registered Massage Therapist
Coty is an honours graduate from westervelt college. During her educational career she had the opportunity to work with a variety of individuals from infancy, children, seniors, palliative and pregnancy. Coty is well versed in Swedish, neuromuscular, deep tissue and myofascial release techniques along with others. She is trained in treatments for many ailments and illnesses including sports injuries, structural abnormalities (scoliosis), sciatica, carpal tunnel, degenerative conditions (MS) repetitive strain injuries etc. She believes in providing a safe and relaxing environment for her clients to experience the healing benefits of massage therapy.
Prema Patil, Registered Massage Therapist
Prema graduated from The D'Arcy Lane Institute of Massage Therapy in 2011. She feels one of the best parts of being a RMT is working towards the prevention and maintenance aspect of massage with ongoing treatments. People respond more readily to massage when in combination with a positive attitude, regular exercise, balanced nutrition and rest.
Prema has also completed a two day Anatomy/Cadaver Workshop at the University of Western Ontario, and has a certificate in Hot Stone Massage. She uses a variety of modalities to achieve positive results, including Deep Tissue Massage, Relaxation, and Pregnancy Massage. Some outreach opportunities included athletic bracing and sports massage. She speaks four languages fluently and loves travelling. She is an outgoing person who enjoys sports, arts and education.
James Morreau, Registered Massage Therapist
James is a graduate from Fanshawe College in 2016. He is expanding his knowledge, experience, and education in sport injury treatments. He also enjoys using his skills in Swedish Massage, Fascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, and PNF stretching to maximize the benefit of treatment for his clients. James is great at varying his pressure to suit the needs of the individual client, and he likes to work with his clients to develop a personalized treatment plan.
James is a graduate of the Fitness and Health Promotion program at Fanshawe college so his knowledge in anatomy and remedial exercise gives him the opportunity to provide the best home stretches as well as exercises to help maximize treatment and self-care benefits.
Kelsey Parent, Registered Massage Therapist
Kelsey graduated with honours from the Massage Therapy Program at Fanshawe College in June of 2018. She worked as a Chiropractic Assistant in London for several years and it was then that she realized she wanted to choose a career within the health care field. Kelsey loved the idea of Massage Therapy because of the connection made between client and therapist and its natural ability to alleviate or prevent pain and to improve overall wellness and healing.
Kelsey is highly skilled in Swedish Massage techniques as well as more advanced techniques like trigger point therapy, myofascial release, proprioception neuromuscular facilitation stretching, and soft tissue release. Kelsey also realizes the importance of incorporating stress relieving techniques into her treatments because she strongly believes that improving mental health will positively affect physical wellness. Kelsey is very excited to be a valuable part of the Massage Addict team and looks forward to using her knowledge and techniques to help people live their best lives.
Ann Jurasek, Registered Massage Therapist
Ann is a recent graduate from the Massage Therapy program at Fanshawe College and she is very passionate about helping people through massage therapy. She understands that each client has different needs and abilities and so she provides a variety of techniques tailored to each client such as deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and Swedish massage techniques, all of which can help to decrease pain and stress or increase relaxation.
She is excited and looking forward to learning future techniques such as hot stone massage and cupping to offer different treatments for her clients. Ann puts the client first by individualizing each treatment for her clients based on their needs, to give them the best results possible.
