Sophia Gatez, Registered Massage Therapist

Sophia is a 2023 graduate of Halifax’s ICT Northumberland College. She has a therapeutic approach to treatments and upon graduation received the award for Clinical Excellence and Professionalism for her strong clinical standards. She is adaptable to clients' needs and enjoys myofascial techniques, joint mobilizations, and working towards improving the quality of movement and tissue health for her clients. During her studies Sophia enrolled in additional training and is certified in Cupping Massage. As a result of this training, Sophia has become increasingly intrigued about the role of connecting tissue and its influence on both mind and body. Her style varies between moderate to deep pressure and she often finds herself following the body’s line of tension to assist in resolving soft-tissue limitations and discomfort. She customizes each treatment plan to the individual and is intentional about creating a comfortable environment for each client while supporting them in their short-term and long-term health goals. Sophia is excited to help you in your wellness journey.
