Angel Torres, Registered Massage Therapist
Angel graduated from Makami college in 2019 and is an active member of the Certified Registered Massage Therapy Association in Alberta.
His primary areas of interest are muscle cramps; migraines and other headaches, as well as the treatment and rehabilitation of pain, including neck, shoulder and hip pain. He focuses on getting his patients pain free, improving their mobility and helping them stay injury free.
He is trained in Swedish massage, Relaxation massage, Deep tissue massage, myofascial cupping, Hot stone massage and trigger point massage. He incorporates a variety of techniques into his treatments including assisted stretching, trigger point release, joint mobilizations, and lymphatic drainage.
When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family and volunteering his time and resources to those in need.
Mei ju (May) Qin, Registered Massage Therapist
Mei graduated in 2015 and is a Registered 2200hr Massage Therapist . She has practiced Traditional Chinese Massage and Western Massage since 2012 in Calgary . Her professionalism and knowledge of the 12 Channels of acupuncture that maintain the body's balance, enable her deliver consistent quality health care to every single client.
Her primary areas of interest are circulation problems , low blood pressure ,cold hands and feet, muscle cramps, headaches and insomnia. She is trained in acupressure, swedish massage, therapeutic massage, sports massage, deep tissue, cupping, hot stone massage and reflexology modalities. When she is not working, she enjoys cooking and relaxing.
(Andy) Chun Yin Mo, Registered Massage Therapist
(Andy) Chun Yin Mo graduated from Makami college in 2022 and is an active member of the Certified Registered Massage Therapy Association in Alberta. He is a client-centered professional focused on delivering high quality treatments to all clients.
He is known for delivering effective treatments and is able to incorporate techniques such as cross-fiber friction, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, assisted stretching, bamboo massage, and deep tissue massage. His clinical approach to massage and his ability to find muscle-knots during treatments set him apart.
He is trained in treating headaches, acute and chronic neck pain, hip pain and back pain. He is also able to perform pre-natal massages, cupping massages, and hot stone massages.
Whether you are looking to relieve stress, ease pain, or improve mobility, Andy can help and is happy to do so. When he is not working, he enjoys watching videos on the internet and spending time with his family.
Chantelle Brown, Registered Massage Therapist
Chantelle completed her Massage Therapy diploma in 2005. She has always had a profound fascination for the human body, particularly its functioning in sports. Her love for the subject propelled her to pursue a degree in Physical Education from the University of Calgary, where she excelled in subjects such as anatomy, physiology, strength & conditioning, and athletic injuries.
After a few years of traveling and working overseas, Chantelle returned to enrol in the Mount Royal massage program, driven by her passion for the body's interconnectedness and her love for solving musculoskeletal issues for her clients.
With her extensive knowledge and training, Chantelle is adept at treating a wide range of conditions, including chronic pain, sports injuries, frozen shoulder, Golfer's elbow, Plantar Fasciitis, Shin splits, Piriformis Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Circulatory problems, Migraines, muscle tension, stiffness, and more.
Driven by her love for helping people attain a pain-free life, Chantelle primarily focuses on therapeutic and sports massages. However, she also provides relaxation treatments to aid clients dealing with stress.
When not working, Chantelle enjoys spending time in nature, camping or indulging in outdoor adventures with her two daughters and adorable Aussiedoodle puppy.
Katerina Karagianni, Registered Massage Therapist
Katerina is in her final year of studies at Makami College for her 3000-hour diploma in Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy. She is currently a 1250hr registered Student Therapist in good standing with the CRMTA, and is licensed with the city of Calgary as a Massage Practitioner. Her passion lies in helping, educating, treating, and healing her clients to feel physically, mentally and emotionally better, which typically results in improvements in their day-to-day lives.
She is skilled in various therapeutic types of massage, including advanced techniques like myofascial cupping, joint play, trigger point release therapy, fascia release stretching, orthopedic massage, and neuromuscular therapy.
After a serious work-related accident changed her life, Katerina knows firsthand the impact chronic pain can have on your day to day life. Since then, she has been constantly studying and learning new treatment protocols and tools related to joint and skeletal muscle system function, arthritis, fibromyalgia, autoimmune diseases, chronic fatigue, tension headaches, and peripheral neuropathy.
During her healing journey, she experienced how a good massage therapist can help reduce pain, correct posture, strengthen muscles, and promote an active and healthy lifestyle. She is now ready to share all that she has learned to help her clients understand their body's functions and improve their quality of life.
When not working, she enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, exercising, and spending time with her family and friends.
