Shannon Bezanson, Registered Massage Therapist

Shannon is a graduate from the 2200 hour massage therapy program at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. While attending CCMH she enjoyed working with individuals suffering from a wide variety of issues. Her area of focus is in the managment of Chronic Pain. Versatile in her ability to perform either deep therapeutic work or a light relaxing touch, she is adaptable to each individual's specific needs.

Shannon has been working/studying in the health care field for over six years, and has a background in Cellular Biology/Human Anatomy, and Human Pathologies from Dalhousie University. She is looking forward to gaining more experience with upcoming courses and enhancing her skills as a therapist.

Megan McAvoy, Registered Massage Therapist

Megan graduated from ICT Northumberland college in 2009. Through her education she has learned that with communication, assessment, and testing you can formulate a treatment plan that suits any client's needs. From relieving stress and tension, to helping heal new/previous injuries, or to helping manage the symptoms of neuromuscular conditions, Megan feels that massage is benefical for everyone. She is also trained in myofascial assessment, sports massage, general Swedish massage, and deep tissue work. In addressing the individual needs of a client, Megan feels she can help you to reduce stress while helping you to maintain a healthy mind and body.

Paige Mackey, Registered Massage Therapist

Paige is a skilled registered massage therapist who has completed the 2200 hours of training and is a recent graduate from Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy (CCMH) Paige has recently completed courses in Indian head massage and hot stone. She is also skilled in therapeutic techniques such as myofascial release, stretching, strengthening, MLD, trigger point release, deep tissue and more. Other current skills are sports massage and pre/post natal massage.

She looks forward to any challenge presented to her and will focus to help their clients reach their wellness goals. Paige has a very positive attitude and enthusiasm for the massage therapy practice and its preventable abilities to maintain or improve a clients health and well being.

She looks forward to meeting you and using a positive healing approach for any acute or chronic conditions or help you de-stress from the day/week you have had.

Leah Jamieson, Registered Massage Therapist

Leah is a graduate of a 2200 hour program from Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in Halifax. Before becoming a massage therapist, Leah spent some time working in customer service as well she has spent a few years working within the hospital.

Since graduating, Leah has also received additional training and certificates in Indian Head Massage and Cupping- a Western and Eastern approach, and has experience in chronic injuries/pain and stress relief. Her passion is helping people and utilizes her experiences in doing so and adjusts her treatments to meet the individual needs of each client. She believes massage therapy is an important part of maintaining your health and lifestyle.

Emily Robichaud, Registered Massage Therapist   

Emily completed her massage therapy diploma program in 2016 from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. Over the years she has worked on multiple conditions such as fibromyalgia, cancer, pregnancy, whiplash, migraines, arthritis, frozen shoulder and various other chronic and acute conditions. 

Emily has a passion for learning and has certificates in Cupping, Indian head massage and is a trained birth doula. In 2021 she received her diploma in acupuncture and earned her title as a Registered Acupuncturist, using that along with massage to help her clients reach maximal health. Emily is currently trained in upper, lower body NeuroFascial Reset and is on her way to becoming a Rapid Specialist in March 2024. 

She has a history of working alongside chiropractors and physiotherapists to help rehabilitate her clients to get them back to doing the things they love. Her main focus is working with post operative care, chronic pain and mental health.

Jessica Roberts, Registered Massage Therapist

Jessica is a graduate of the 2200 hour Massage Therapy Diploma program at the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy. She’s worked with patients who suffered from neurological conditions such as MS, chronic migraines, fibromyalgia & ALS – and has also treated patients in the Enhanced Care program who suffered from strokes, amputations, advanced alzheimers & various other mental/physical disabilities.

Jessica is experienced with treating TMJD, and other acute/chronic conditions such as postural dysfunction, whiplash, arthritis and spinal cord injuries. She has also treated patients restricted to a wheelchair. Her passion for massage therapy and vivacious personality make the patient-therapist relationship an easy one. Her focus on patient centered goals creates a tailored treatment, while specifically targeting areas of dysfunction and pain. 

Relaxing General Swedish Massage, fascial release techniques, trigger point therapy, and remedial exercise are just some of the aspects Jessica brings to a treatment. She believes that massage therapy is a big part of living a more functional, healthy lifestyle. 

Jordan Stevens, Registered Massage Therapist   

Jordan is an experienced massage therapist that graduated with honors from The Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2009. Over the years, Jordan has worked in Spa settings and multiple disciplinary clinics, allowing her to expand her light touch/relaxation techniques and her deep tissue/ therapeutic treatments too. She has her level one in aromatherapy and has taken courses in energy work and healing touch. Currently, Jordan is completing her undergraduate degree at Dalhousie University in Neuroscience.

The human body/ pathology has always been Jordan’s passion. Using her extensive knowledge and continued learning, she can treat many issues with confidence and a tailored client-based approach. She has successfully relieved symptoms of various conditions but excels in tension headaches/migraines, whiplash, concussions, and Sacroiliac joint dysfunction. Jordan believes communication is critical in developing a beneficial treatment plan for her clients and will also give relative homecare to further your well-being outside the treatment room.

In her free time,  Jordan enjoys the company of her family and friends, walking along the beautiful trails around the HRM, and watching spooky movies at home with her cat!

Carla Hardman, Registered Massage Therapist    

Carla Hardman Graduated from the 3000-hour program at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2012. She has been practicing as an RMT in British Columbia for the past 10 years and is continuing her work as an RMT here in Nova Scotia, having recently relocated to the province with her family. Carla has worked in a wide variety of clinical settings and spas. Over the years she has focused her practice on perinatal care, working with new and expectant mothers, infants, and caesarean scar work. She also enjoys working with a variety of patients, focusing on deep therapeutic massage techniques to release the tissues as needed, while also ensuring a positive and relaxing experience for the patient. Most recently Carla is working towards completing her Bachelor of Health Science through Thompson Rivers University, furthering her studies in the health field.

Samara Best, Registered Massage Therapist   

Samara Best, graduated in 2023 from Eastern Colleges 2200-hour program with honours. She has experience treating a variety of patients and conditions, such as TMJ, chronic pain conditions, post surgical patients, whiplash, and physical manifestations of mental health issues.

Samara’s love for massages shows through her client centered care and attention to detail. She has always had a passion for helping others and loves that her career allows her to give people the amazing benefits of massage.

Deep tissue, relaxation, trigger point therapy, muscle releases, and client centered home care are just some of the skills Samara has to offer during your treatment.

Ian McLean, Registered Massage Therapist    

Ian is a graduate of the 2200 hour program from the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy. Ian is thorough and attentive in his approach to treatment. Always working within you comfort level, he prefers to use a moderate to deep pressure. His treatments typically include a combination of myofascial release, stretching, Swedish massage and trigger point therapy.  He has experience treating a range of conditions including postural dysfunction, sciatica, frozen shoulder and acute and chronic injuries, and recently completed continuing education courses in Gua Sha therapy and foot massage to help release lower body tension. Regardless of what you are coming in for, his aim is always to create a safe and relaxing space and he looks forward to working with you towards your goals.

Chris MacAvoy, Registered Massage Therapist   

Chris MacAvoy graduated in 2024 from Eastern Colleges 2200-hour program. He has experience treating a variety of patients and conditions, such as frozen shoulder, shin splints, chronic pain, sports related injuries, and Delayed onset muscle soreness(DOMs).

Chris uses a wind range of assessment tools to find the root cause of your problem and help develop a treatment plan with you, in and out of the treatment room by giving individual specific exercises to help reach your goals. 

Chris's style focuses on deep tissue with movement but uses a variety of techniques to achieve client goals.

Angelina Bevis, Registered Massage Therapist   

Angelina Bevis is a very enthusiastic RMT that graduated from the Career Collage of Massage and Hydrotherapy in May of 2022. Angelina is skilled in the assessment of many different pathology’s, whether you’re looking to relieve stress/ tension or working on a new or old injury, Angelina will  listen to all of your concerns to ensure that the treatment being received is the most safe and effective treatment for you!

Angelina is skilled in techniques such as Myofascial release, manual lymphatic drainage, trigger point release, joint mobility techniques, scar tissue removal and many more.

Angelina has gained experience in many different conditions such as postural dysfunctions, arthritis, sports injury’s, whiplash/ post concussion symptoms, and post surgical patients. She is always looking for new research on invisible illnesses such as fibromyalgia multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, migraines and or  headaches.
 
While at the clinic, Angelina takes pride in providing a safe area for all patients to ensure you have the most comfortable and beneficial experience!

Katelyn Salter, Registered Massage Therapist   

Katelyn graduated with a diploma in massage therapy from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2022. She has experience working with various conditions such as sports injuries, whiplash, arthritis, TMJD, and tendinitis. 
She has also received additional training in prenatal and postnatal massage, as well as experience in infant and paediatric massage. Some of the techniques she is skilled in include Swedish massage, fascial release, trigger point release, and lymphatic drainage. 

Katelyn feels that creating a safe and comforting space for clients is an important part of getting the maximum benefit out of treatments. Her belief is that massage can be beneficial for anyone, ranging from chronic issues or injuries, to stress relief and relaxation. 

Outside of massage therapy, Katelyn is a cheerleading coach and enjoys spending time with her family and her dogs.
