Florante Deresas, Registered Massage Therapist    

Florante is a Graduate of Makami College 3000 Hours Advance Diploma Program, and a Registered Massage Therapist. 

Florante is a dedicated massage therapist, he specializes in personalized client assessments to tailor each session to individual needs, ensuring a holistic and effective approach to wellness and recovery. Florante is skilled in joint play, myofascial release, swedish massage, Pre-natal, cupping, hot stone therapy, deep tissue massage, therapeutic treatment, stretching and exercise.

As a Registered Massage Therapist, his overall mission is to strive to enhance the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of his clients through dedicated client assessment, tailored treatment plans, and a commitment to ongoing education and professional excellence. In addition, Florante is Rapid Neurofascial Reset certified.

Shermin Burton-Barnett, Registered Massage Therapist

Shermin began her massage therapy journey at Makami College in Calgary, inspired by her passion for helping others feel balanced, supported, and well. She is trained in Swedish and deep tissue massage, as well as hot stone therapy, allowing her to tailor each treatment to the unique needs of her clients.

Originally from Jamaica, Shermin moved to Canada in 2014 and spent eight years working as a Health Care Aide. Her background in caregiving further strengthened her commitment to supporting others’ physical and mental well-being—something she carries into every massage session with warmth and intention.

Outside of her practice, Shermin finds joy in dancing and listening to music, activities that bring her peace, calmness, and creative expression.

Compassionate, skilled, and deeply dedicated, Shermin strives to create a restorative experience for every client she works with.

Cheng Kuang Christopher (Chris) Lee, Registered Massage Therapist

Chris graduated from Bryan College of Applied Health & Business Sciences in Toronto, Ontario, in 2014. With a strong foundation in classical Swedish massage, he has developed a particular expertise in deep tissue techniques, allowing him to effectively target tension, improve mobility, and support long-term wellness for his clients.

Chris is passionate about helping people feel their best and brings a focused, therapeutic approach to every session.

Outside the clinic, Chris enjoys reading, exercising, and playing basketball and football. He also values spending quality time with his family and friends.

Skilled, dedicated, and client-centered, Chris is committed to delivering treatments that make a meaningful difference.

Manolo Fuentes, Registered Massage Therapist

Manolo’s journey into massage therapy began in 2014 when he and his wife experienced its benefits for the first time. That experience sparked a deep appreciation for the healing power of therapeutic touch and ignited his curiosity for human anatomy. Over the years, this interest grew into a passion—one that ultimately led him to pursue formal training and successfully graduate from Makami College.

Manolo takes a holistic and client-centered approach to massage therapy. He incorporates a variety of techniques, including Swedish and deep tissue massage, as well as muscle mobilization and PNF stretching, to create treatments tailored to each client’s needs. His goal is always to help clients feel better, move better, and live more comfortably.

Outside of work, Manolo enjoys staying active through walking and running, exploring his interest in cars, and spending quality time with friends.

Warm, dedicated, and thoughtful in his practice, Manolo is committed to helping clients achieve lasting wellness.

Analyn Dereses, Registered Massage Therapist    

Analyn graduated from Makami College to pursue a career that combines her interests, natural abilities, and the lifestyle she values. She is well-trained in Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Therapy, and Pre- and Post-Natal Massage, allowing her to support a wide range of client needs with skill and confidence.

Analyn brings a holistic approach to her practice, focusing on treatments that restore balance, relieve tension, and promote overall well-being. In addition to therapeutic techniques, she is also skilled in hot stone therapy, cupping, and assisted stretching—offering clients a comprehensive and personalized massage experience.

Outside the clinic, Analyn enjoys exploring new interests and expanding her knowledge. She’s also passionate about cooking and loves to experiment in the kitchen.

Warm, attentive, and dedicated to her craft, Analyn strives to make every session both restorative and meaningful for her clients.

Adalien Colenutt, Registered Massage Therapist   

Adalien is a Registered Massage Therapist and proud graduate of Lethbridge College (Class of 2022), and a member of the CMMOTA. She became an RMT out of a genuine passion for helping others and a desire to support the health and well-being of her community.

Adalien specializes in therapeutic massage, with a focus on identifying the root causes of pain and discomfort. She is highly skilled in soft tissue and joint manipulation, using a combination of techniques to stretch, heal, and restore mobility. Her training includes Intraoral & TMJ, Pre & Post Natal, Relaxation, Deep Tissue, and Therapeutic massage.

Clients appreciate her intuitive, effective approach and her warm, approachable personality. Outside the clinic, Adalien enjoys reading, crocheting, spending time with her cats, and recharging in nature. She finds joy in music and connecting with people from all walks of life.

Ashley Whitelaw, Registered Massage Therapist   

Ashley is a Registered Massage Therapist and graduate of the Alberta College of Massage Therapy (Class of 2025). A member of the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada, she has completed the 2200-hour massage therapy program.

Driven by a passion for holistic health and helping others feel their best, Ashley offers personalized treatments focused on relieving tension, improving mobility, and promoting relaxation. She is trained in Therapeutic, Deep Tissue, Relaxation, and Pre & Post Natal massage.

Outside of the clinic, Ashley enjoys spending time outdoors with friends and family, embracing nature and quality connection.

Carolina Barbosa, Registered Massage Therapist

Carolina is a Registered Massage Therapist who graduated from Makami College’s 3000-hour program in 2017. 

She is passionate about how the body works and uses her skills to help clients relax, manage pain, and reach their wellness goals. Carolina is experienced in Swedish, deep tissue, therapeutic, sports, and prenatal massage, as well as cupping, myofascial therapy, and manual lymph drainage. She is skilled in orthopedic assessments and tailors each treatment to the client’s specific needs. Carolina believes in the importance of listening to the body and supporting healing through traditional and evidence-based techniques. 

Outside of her practice, she enjoys crocheting, knitting, sewing, and spending time outdoors with her family camping, hiking, fishing, and ice fishing—even celebrating New Year’s on a frozen lake under fireworks and morning sun

Yuri Suarez, Registered Massage Therapist

Yuri Suarez is a Registered Massage Therapist and proud member of the CMMOTA. She graduated from Makami College in 2015, bringing with her a strong foundation in both clinical and therapeutic practices. Inspired by her grandmother, who practiced massage in Colombia, Yuri’s passion for helping others through healing touch began early in life and has since become her lifelong calling.

Yuri is trained in a variety of modalities including cupping, hot stone therapy, herbal compress, and pregnancy massage. Her treatment style focuses on deep tissue therapy, Swedish massage, sports massage, and pregnancy massage, allowing her to support clients with both relaxation and recovery needs.

Outside of her professional practice, Yuri enjoys cooking and cherishing time with her family, who are her greatest motivation.

Valerie Labrecque-Harbour, Registered Massage Therapist

Valerie grew up with a love for movement since a young age, she competed internationally for Canada with the Canadian luge team. Valerie holds a background in personal training and is an adventurous single mom to a six year old daughter who keeps herself busy with a focus on health and nature, deeply inspired by the rhythms of the seasons and the interconnected of life, building balance and strength and a love for the simplicities in life and the five elements, earth, water, fire and spirit.  

Drawn to movement and the quiet magic of how the body speaks Valerie decided to pursue her passion as a healer and graduated from a 3000 hour advanced clinical massage therapy program at Makami College in 2021. Valerie is passionate about enhancing biomechanical functioning in her clients using different modalities  including deep tissue and sports massages but also employs a vast specialized area of expertise with a certification in Thai yoga massage level 1, hot stones, cupping, Swedish/relaxation massages. As a yoga fanatic, Valerie is a strong believer in the body working as a whole in balance and in strength.  

Valerie enjoys simple living, with a desire for adventure Valerie enjoys full time RV living with her daughter in the spring and summer, hiking and travelling through the different landscaping of the earth.

Roberta Altillo, Registered Massage Therapist

Roberta Altillo graduated from the Canadian Health and Business College (CHBC) on April 26, 2025, and is a proud member of the CRMTA. Inspired by a deep passion for helping others, Roberta became a Registered Massage Therapist to ease pain, improve well-being, and make a positive difference in people’s lives. For her, the profession also fosters self-awareness, offers flexibility, and provides endless opportunities for lifelong learning.

Her treatment style combines Swedish massage, deep tissue techniques, and trigger point therapy, tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. Roberta’s approach is both therapeutic and restorative, helping clients find relief, balance, and renewed energy.

Beyond her professional work, Roberta finds joy in life’s simple pleasures—her happy place is surrounded by greenery and the gentle comfort of purrs. She enjoys learning new things, connecting with happy people, spending time outdoors, and meeting new faces.

Sydney Kranjcevic, Registered Massage Therapist

Sydney is a massage therapist who graduated in 2025 from MaKami College’s 3,000-hour program. She got into massage to help individuals understand the mind–body connection and to support clients through their healing journey; inspired by a therapist who once helped her manage chronic pain, she brings empathy and evidence-informed care to every session.

Sydney offers individulized treatments focused on relieving tension and stress, increasing mobility, and reducing trigger points. Sydney is certified in TMJ (intraoral) techniques, Swedish massage, hydrotherapy, cupping, lymphatic drainage, and relaxation massage.

Outside of work, Sydney loves being in nature and spends her free time rock climbing, biking, and hiking

Sherry Heron, Registered Massage Therapist

Sherry is a Registered Massage Therapist who graduated from the Alberta College of Massage Therapy in July 2025. Drawn to massage therapy by her love of puzzles, Sherry enjoys the challenge of understanding the human body—identifying the causes of pain and determining effective treatment plans that restore comfortable, confident movement while reducing stress.

Her treatment style is collaborative and adaptable. Sherry works closely with clients to help them understand what’s happening in their bodies, using techniques such as light myofascial release, PNF stretching, joint play, and deep tissue work. She tailors each session to the individual, believing that every client is unique and deserves a personalized approach.

Sherry is a member of the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada (NHPC) and is eager to continue expanding her skills through ongoing education.

Having lived and worked in Okotoks for over 30 years, Sherry enjoys disc golf, biking, walking the town’s many pathways, swimming laps in cooler seasons, and relaxing with a good book.
