Shannon Bezanson, Registered Massage Therapist
Shannon is a graduate from the 2200 hour massage therapy program at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. While attending CCMH she enjoyed working with individuals suffering from a wide variety of issues. Her area of focus is in the managment of Chronic Pain. Versatile in her ability to perform either deep therapeutic work or a light relaxing touch, she is adaptable to each individual's specific needs.
Shannon has been working/studying in the health care field for over six years, and has a background in Cellular Biology/Human Anatomy, and Human Pathologies from Dalhousie University. She is looking forward to gaining more experience with upcoming courses and enhancing her skills as a therapist.
Megan McAvoy, Registered Massage Therapist
Megan graduated from ICT Northumberland college in 2009. Through her education she has learned that with communication, assessment, and testing you can formulate a treatment plan that suits any client's needs. From relieving stress and tension, to helping heal new/previous injuries, or to helping manage the symptoms of neuromuscular conditions, Megan feels that massage is benefical for everyone. She is also trained in myofascial assessment, sports massage, general Swedish massage, and deep tissue work. In addressing the individual needs of a client, Megan feels she can help you to reduce stress while helping you to maintain a healthy mind and body.
Jennifer Smith - Neilson, Registered Massage Therapist
Jenn graduated from a 2200 hour massage therapy program offered by the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2010 and has been working at Massage Addict Lower Sackville ever since. She also received a certificate for completing fifty hours of service in the Neurological Outreach Clinic.
Treating her clients with a relaxation approach to a therapeutic massage is one of Jenn’s specialties. This makes her an ideal choice for a relaxation massage and/or for treatment of chronic pain due to muscular or postural issues. Jenn has been trained in cupping and indian head massage to achieve optimal results. She also enjoys treating women through the various stages of pregnancy and is very comfortable helping a woman's body with making the transition to motherhood. Jenn is also trained in hot stone massage and pleased to offer you this service. Some of the benefits of hot stone massage include increased relaxation and circulation, as well as decreased anxiety and pain from tense muscles and arthritis.
Paige Mackey, Registered Massage Therapist
Paige is a skilled registered massage therapist who has completed the 2200 hours of training and is a recent graduate from Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy (CCMH) Paige has recently completed courses in Indian head massage and hot stone. She is also skilled in therapeutic techniques such as myofascial release, stretching, strengthening, MLD, trigger point release, deep tissue and more. Other current skills are sports massage and pre/post natal massage.
She looks forward to any challenge presented to her and will focus to help their clients reach their wellness goals. Paige has a very positive attitude and enthusiasm for the massage therapy practice and its preventable abilities to maintain or improve a clients health and well being.

Leah Jamieson, Registered Massage Therapist
Leah is a graduate of a 2200 hour program from Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in Halifax. Before becoming a massage therapist, Leah spent some time working in customer service as well she has spent a few years working within the hospital.
Since graduating, Leah has also received additional training and certificates in Indian Head Massage and Cupping- a Western and Eastern approach, and has experience in chronic injuries/pain and stress relief. Her passion is helping people and utilizes her experiences in doing so and adjusts her treatments to meet the individual needs of each client. She believes massage therapy is an important part of maintaining your health and lifestyle.
Emily Cook, Registered Massage Therapist
Emily is a graduate of a 2200 hour program at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. During this time she treated in the Enhanced Care Clinic which included Alzheimers and cancer patients. She is also certified in Hot Jade Stone massage.
She is skilled in treating many different acute and chronic conditions such as fibromyalgia, chronic pain, sciatica, Tmj, whiplash, and many more. Offers GSM, MLD, fascial work, stretching, strengthening and more. Emily has a background in pregnancy and post partum massage. She enjoys helping women throughout all stages of pregnancy by providing a relaxing and comforting environment. Emily is a compassionate person who's main goal is to help her patients maintain optimal health.
Samantha (Rockwell) Sears, Registered Massage Therapist
Samantha graduated in 2014 from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. She enjoys helping people to decrease their everyday pain and discomfort by creating a treatment plan specific to her client’s needs and goals. She specializes in pregnancy massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy and deep tissue massage.
Samantha also has training in Myofascial Therapy (also known as myofascial release therapy or myofascial trigger point therapy) is a type of safe, low load stretch that releases tightness and pain throughout the body caused by myofascial pain syndrome, which describes chronic muscle pain that is worse in certain areas known as trigger points.
Jessica Roberts, Registered Massage Therapist
Jessica is a graduate of the 2200 hour Massage Therapy Diploma program at the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy. She’s worked with patients who suffered from neurological conditions such as MS, chronic migraines, fibromyalgia & ALS – and has also treated patients in the Enhanced Care program who suffered from strokes, amputations, advanced alzheimers & various other mental/physical disabilities.
Jessica is experienced with treating TMJD, and other acute/chronic conditions such as postural dysfunction, whiplash, arthritis and spinal cord injuries. She has also treated patients restricted to a wheelchair. Her passion for massage therapy and vivacious personality make the patient-therapist relationship an easy one. Her focus on patient centered goals creates a tailored treatment, while specifically targeting areas of dysfunction and pain.
Relaxing General Swedish Massage, fascial release techniques, trigger point therapy, and remedial exercise are just some of the aspects Jessica brings to a treatment. She believes that massage therapy is a big part of living a more functional, healthy lifestyle.
Nathan Mcdonald, Registered Massage Therapist
Nathan is a graduate from Eastern College's 2200 hours Massage Therapy program where he won the award for for top student in clinic. Nathan strongly believes in the principles of the Massage Therapist's Oath: "I commit my whole self; body, mind, heart and soul to facilitate the healing of those entrusted in my care". He also believes in being aware of what your body & mind needs in order to live a positive & healthy lifestyle, and is looking forward to help you in your healing process.
Nathan genuinely cares about people and what he does. He is confident in his abilities, acquired knowledge, and is eager to provide optimal treatments. He is also excited to continue gaining knowledge in order to broaden his skills.
While Nathan's main interest is the psychological effects of massage, he is also proficient in providing various treatments from Deep Tissue to Relaxation and anything in-between through his developed sense of touch. Nathan is very easy-going, and a great listener, he would love the opportunity to work with you on a treatment plan that will be of utmost benefit for your requirements.
Tasha Spence, Registered Massage Therapist
Tasha Spence, graduated from Eastern College, July 2019 with the 2200 hour massage therapy program with honors. Tasha possesses experience with general swedish massage, myofascial techniques, great assessment skills and more. Tasha gives great detail to her assessment which makes it very specific to the needs of the client. She has a deep understanding of anatomy and physiology of the human body from the massage therapy program and having 8 years experience prior being in the health field as a CCA. Tasha plans on taking a PhD in osteopathy one day to further her commitment to healing others.
Erika Hale, Registered Massage Therapist
Erika is an honours graduate of the 2200 hours RMT program at Eastern College. Using a variety of techniques and her positive energy, her specialities include trigger point therapy, relaxation, myofascial work, relieving overall muscle tension and improving joint mobility while reducing stresses of everyday life. She believes that massage has a place for everyone and loves helping people maintain a healthy body, mind, and spirit. In her spare time she enjoys being outdoors and practicing yoga. Erika is looking forward to her new career as a massage therapist and expanding her skills in the future.
Elin Rose-Kays, Registered Massage Therapist
Elin is a graduate from the 2200 hour massage therapy program at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. While attending CCMH she learned a variety of different skills working in many different specialty clinics such as arthritis, neurology, sports and pregnancy. She is also skilled in therapeutic techniques such as myofascial release, stretching, strengthening, MLD, trigger point release, deep tissue work and more.
She looks forward to being able to communicate and assess you properly to be able to come up with a treatment plan to focus on your needs. Focuses on postural imbalances and getting your body back to where it should be. She loves a challenge and is very personable with a positive, upbeat attitude. She’s excited to join our team and can’t wait to take more courses and expand her knowledge of massage so she can better treat her clients.
She loves to help people feel better and educate them on ways to help decrease pain in their everyday lives and can’t wait to meet you. She loves being active and goes to the gym 5 days a week, loves the outdoors, camping and fishing. She has a background in fitness and was previously an electrician for 12 years before becoming a massage therapist so knows what it's like to work hard and put strain on her body so feels she can truly relate to her clients needs.
Dustin Williams, Registered Massage Therapist
Dustin is a graduate from ICT Northumberland College . Dustin has experience with Swedish massage, fascial, sports massage and relaxation. Dustin has great interpersonal skills allowing him to connect with clients and provide a trustworthy and professional treatment environment. Dustin takes pride in his ability to assess and determine the appropriate treatment that clients need. Dustin's dynamic approach to massage therapy aims to connect people with their bodies while further increasing general health awareness. Dustin has also completed a Bachelor's degree in Human Kinetics at St. Francis Xavier University. With his knowledge of sports massage and background in Kinesiology, Dustin hopes to one day work with professional athletes at the Olympics.
Emily Proulx, Registered Massage Therapist
Emily Proulx is a graduate from Eastern College’s 2200 hour massage therapy program. With education, and experience she has acquired the skills and knowledge to help treat various conditions and symptoms.
Emily specializes in prenatal massage, deep tissue, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and relaxation. Integrating different styles and modalities to ensure you receive the optional treatment, She is always ready to listen to your concerns and give a helping hand. Kind, caring, and compassionate, she will do everything possible to make sure you’re comfortable throughout your treatment.
Catherine Chamberline, Registered Massage Therapist
Catherine completed the 2200 hour program from ICT Northumberland college. Catherine enjoys treating patients with a variety of conditions whether this is a specific injury, chronic pain due to the demands of working at a desk, or simply the need to relax. She will tailor treatments to the clients unique needs and varies from a light touch to deep pressure depending on the clients preference. Catherine believes that massage therapy can play a critical role in wellbeing is so glad to home again at Massage Addict Lower Sackville and she looks forward to reconnecting with old clients and meeting new ones.
