Adam Lafrance, Registered Massage Therapist

Adam has been working as a Registered Massage Therapist in Ottawa for over 5 years. He graduated from the massage therapy program at Algonquin College in 2010. He has experience in a variety of work environments including a physiotherapy clinics, high end spas and retirement homes. He completed the cranial sacral course at the Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy in 2012.

Adam enjoys his profession and looks forward to continued training and expanding his skills to meet the needs of his clients.

Ronald (Ron) Muckenheim, Registered Massage Therapist

Ron has been a massage therapist since 2003. He greatly enjoys helping people experience the physical and psychological benefits this therapy can provide, as a foundation for health. Massage has been shown to alleviate stress and depression, improve sleep, and ”re-energize” the person, enhancing a sense of bodily and mental well-being. Ron’s treatments range from relaxation and tension relief, to addressing specific physical states such as muscle stiffness, headaches, postural symptoms, and other conditions. He is proficient in Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, hydrotherapy, passive/PNF stretching, range of motion movements, and coaching deep breathing. Each treatment is customized to your own needs and preferences.

Ron has taught in a private college for several years, instructing first and second-year massage therapy students in courses such as assessments, treatments, palpations, business and law, and research literacy. His outside interests include cycling, hiking, and engraving soapstone. He is looking forward to meeting and treating you!

Sylvie Berube RMT, Registered Massage Therapist

As a graduate of Career Canada College, Sylvie has been practicing massage therapy since 2003. Her main style of massage –Swedish massage– is what people readily recognize and known as the classic massage. For example, while doing a Swedish massage on a client, she would work on the trigger points and on myofascial release, just to name 2 of the techniques used.

Sylvie is a member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and the Ontario Massage Therapist Association.

Shawn Fernando, Registered Massage Therapist

Originally from Mississauga Ontario, Shawn grew up having a strong passion for helping people. Moving to Ottawa and attending Carleton University posed a big challenge but soon adapted well to the city and its community. Soon after he attended CDI College and graduated in 2007. Being an RMT has changed his outlook on life and how important it is to remain healthy both in mind and body and understand that it is more important than ever.

Over the years Shawn has had the opportunity to use his skills as an RMT in many different areas. From working with the elderly in palliative care massage, Ottawa Senators, and The Walk For the Cure To End Breast Cancer and working on the many who took part in that great cause. He sees the need and the important roles of Massage therapy today and adjusting treatment plans according to the needs of the clients and taking the time to listen to what they have to say. His area of focus includes but is not limited to acute and chronic conditions, deep tissue massage, relaxation massage, trigger point therapy, structural assessments, and pregnancy massage.

In his spare time, Shawn loves to keep active. Biking and running and kayaking are what he enjoys during the summer months. Shawn has been an active member of the CMTO since 2008.

Natalia Gonzalez-Beltran, Registered Massage Therapist

Natalia grew up in Colombia and moved to Canada in 2013. She graduated with Honors from Massage Therapy program at Algonquin College and is a Registered Member of the CMTO. She is beyond excited to work with such talented group of people at Massage Addict where client’s wellbeing comes first.

Natalia loves to perform Swedish Techniques, Connective Tissue work, Deep Tissue Techniques, Manual Lymph Drainage and Trigger Point therapy while helping clients to treat a specific condition or to feel relaxed.

Outside of her work you can find her spending time with her family or enjoying time outside.

Chanelle Brigitte Rivet, Registered Massage Therapist

Chanelle grew up in a small town in Northern Ontario and moved to the Ottawa region 20 years ago. She graduated with honors from the Massage Therapy Advanced Diploma Program at Algonquin College. She is a registered member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. Chanelle is excited to start her work journey here at Massage Addict as a Registered Massage Therapist and to treat clients with Swedish techniques, Deep Tissue work, Trigger Point techniques, Fascial work, Prenatal, Manual Lymph Drainage and Therapeutic Exercises. She strives for the health and wellbeing of all her clients. Chanelle has patience, loves helping others and readily accepts new challenges. Her peers would describe her as hard worker, reliable, and organized. Chanelle also holds a certification in Hairstyling, and she is fluent in both French and English. Outside of work, Chanelle enjoys staying active both physically and mentally, and loves spending time with family and friends.

Rosielyn (Rose) Scherr, Registered Massage Therapist

I am Rosielyn Scherr. I graduated in Sir Sandford Fleming College in 2020. I am in good standing at the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario as well as Registered Massage Therapist’s Association of Ontario.

I am passionate and committed of giving my clients the best treatment as possible and love of educating them on overall health and wellness. I am trained in Swedish massage, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Joint Mobilizations, relaxations and more. 

I am eager to continue my education for me to provide the best quality therapeutic massages to my clients.

I am excited and looking forward to be part of my client’s health and wellness journey.

Martin "Paulo" Pedrosa, Registered Massage Therapist   

Martin “Paulo” Pedroso completed the Massage therapy program from Medix College. As a previous powerlifter he knows the importance of recovery as much as strengthening, he believes that "Motion is Lotion". 

Martin consistently advocates that prevention will always be the best possible solution. He combines a treatment approach of implementing soft tissue release, functional range control, and strength training. Martin understands that each individual is unique in terms of their needs and desired goals. Therefore, he ensures that a thorough assessment of each patient is completed at the beginning of their session upon their initial treatment. 

In his spare time, Martin practices what he preaches by living a healthy and active lifestyle. He loves rock climbing, hiking, playing chess, traveling, and learning new languages. His passion for health and wellness translates into his treatment practice to help each individual get back to their daily routine, pain free.
