We are excited to let you know that we are gradually opening our clinics across the country. We are following government guidance in terms of what locations we can re-open and encourage you to consult our location tab for the latest status on your favoured clinic.

Our therapists are looking forward to providing treatments to help with your anxiety, stress, muscle stiffness/soreness and general pain symptoms which we suspect may have been exasperated over the many weeks of self-isolation. Don’t worry, we can help!

We also wanted to let you know that, while we were closed, we have been reviewing and enhancing our sanitation and in-clinic procedures to ensure that your therapist can treat you, and you can be treated, in a safe environment.

All our new policies and procedures meet or exceed the standards described by local and national regulatory bodies.

To give you an idea of our enhanced procedures:

  • Our clinic has been deep cleaned and sanitized from floor to ceiling
  • We hired a professional service to apply MicroSheild 360 in the clinic. MicroSheild 360 is a multi- step application process that works to immediately kill then prevent future pathogens from living on treated surfaces. Safe, and non-toxic!
  • Sneeze guards are being installed at the front desk
  • We have implemented rotational sanitation procedures for all common surfaces, multiple times throughout the day
  • Treatment rooms are fully sanitized, and all linens/blankets etc are replaced, after each treatment
  • Our therapists and team members have been outfitted with the required Personal Protective Equipment (‘PPE’)
  • We are practicing physical distance in the common areas of the clinic (reception / staff room / hallways)
  • We are no longer accepting cash; so please be prepared to pay for your treatment and tip (should you desire to tip) using a credit or debit card

We will also be pre-screening clients and staff, including a temperature check, upon entry to the clinic to make sure they do not feel unwell/have no symptoms of COVID.

We keep hearing this, but these are unprecedented times. We are thankful government officials have determined it is safe to open. With that said, if you are at all uncomfortable and want to know more about how we are keeping you and our team members safe, please reach out to the local clinic. A member of the clinic team can personally answer any questions that you may have. We have also updated our FAQ with questions we know are top of mind.

And, as always, it’s easy to book your next treatment; just click on the button below to secure your treatment time/day!

And, thank you for your patience while we were closed. Our team is looking forward to getting back to work; back to seeing their team members live versus on Zoom, back to helping clients, and back to a routine (even if it is a new one!).

Be well,

Caroline Kolompar

What’s happening with my monthly membership commitment?

A:Your membership will be reinstated once your local clinic is re-opened. While your clinic is closed all member commitments are suspended. We will notify members of our re-opening via email and Facebook posts. You can also consult our website for updates.

Why do I need to wear a mask during my treatment?

A:As per government guidance, if physical distancing can’t be exercised then masks need to be worn. Given the close proximity required during a treatment, clients will need to wear a mask, while our therapists will wear PPE.

How will you take my temperature?

A:Each clinic will be equipped with infrared non-contact thermometers. The thermometer is simply pointed to the forehead and provide an instant read. It’s a simple, rapid and a non-contact process. Should your temperature be above recommended levels, we will need to re-schedule your appointment until you feel better.

What do I need to know before I come in for my next appointment?

A:When you book an appointment, you will receive an email that outlines the new procedures. They will include; arriving 5 minutes prior to your scheduled time, bringing a filled water bottle, leaving your belongings at home (or in the car) and bringing a community mask. In addition, we are moving to cashless so you’ll need to bring a credit debit card for payments or tips, should you desire to tip!

Why do you no longer accept cash?

A:For the time being, we no longer accept cash as a form of payment or for tips in order to limit the spread of COVID-19.

How have you updated your sanitation procedures and is it safe for me to get a treatment?

A:All our new policies and procedures meet or exceed the standards described by local and national regulatory bodies. We have implemented rotational sanitation procedures for all common surfaces, multiple times throughout the day. Treatment rooms are fully sanitized, and all linens/blankets etc are replaced, after each treatment. Your health and safety are our top priority.

What’s happening with my appointment I had booked prior to the temporary closure?

A:If you have a booked appointment for the coming weeks, we will call you to reschedule. We will also be sending an email to all clients letting them know when we are re-opening, so you can always book online when that occurs.

Will I get charged cancellation or membership fees during the temporary closure?

A:All cancellations and memberships fees will be suspended while the clinics are temporarily closed.

How is Massage Addict being proactive in preventing the spread of the COVID-19 to staff members and therapists?

A:All our new policies and procedures meet or exceed the standards described by local and national regulatory bodies. Our staff temperature is checked everyday before and during each shift. Use of PPE is embedded in our new policies and our sanitation procedures are ongoing throughout the day. Your safety, and the safety of our team is top priority.

Should clients take any precautions before attending their appointment?

A:In order to maintain safe clinic atmospheres from coast to coast, we’re advising anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms to reschedule their treatments. This helps to protect therapists and staff members as well as other clients from being exposed to COVID-19 and any other virus.

Can you be declined service if you are exhibiting symptoms?

A:Health Canada has advised that anyone exhibiting symptoms remain at home and avoid coming into contact with others. With this in mind, and for the safety of everyone at Massage Addict clinics across the country, our licensed service providers may decline service. Your appointment will be rescheduled, with clinics waiving the 24-hour notice period.

We are dedicated to the care of our clients and our team members. We will continue to monitor the pandemic and adjust our precautions as necessary.
